ArtPrize Escapade

Howdy-do!

All of us on the NOT DESIGN team have been eager to get out to project some light during ArtPrize. And tonight was our first night. Here’s some documentation of how it went:

@ the Old Federal Building entrance.

@ the Old Federal Building entrance.

Our first stop was at the entrance of the Old Federal Building.

People talking to us about our projections.

People talking to us about our projections.

Just what we intended–people inquiring about us and interacting with our art!

We moved our projections to the wall, too.

Then we moved to the GRAM.

Then we moved to the GRAM.

In this spot, we had quite a few people stop to crane their head out their car windows and pedestrians stop to look.

People stopping to look.

However, when we moved to the other side of the GRAM we weren’t quite as appreciated…a security guard asked us to ‘finish’ in 5 minutes because what we were doing wasn’t “the GRAM’s.” (…we’d like to donate our art?)

Even though we had to pack up, we did have this gem of a moment at the GRAM: this kid played with the light from our projector for a while.
